I have many interests, as you can see from the above word cloud, and most revolve around one theme, learning. I consider myself, above all things, a student and there is nothing more exciting and exhilarating than learning something new. I am an avid reader, focusing on primarily on religion, American history and mystery novels. Currently I am reading my through all of the Agatha Christie "Hercule Poirot" novels, there are 43 of them and I am just approaching the half way point. While a good mystery is usually found on my nightstand I try to stay current with popular culture novels and have read all of the Harry Potter and Hunger Games books too. My other love is spending time with my husband and daughter, my extended family and my friends. My husband and I have been married for eleven years; we enjoy spending our evenings discussing politics, current events, and watching our daughter play. We love to travel together, whether it's a day trip to Philadelphia or Washington D.C. or a week long journey to Chicago or Orlando, we enjoy visiting art and history museums together and surprisingly my 5 year-old daughter is the art buff in the house. Other current interests include finishing a comprehensive family tree, for both myself and my husband, spending time learning new applications for technology in the classroom, volunteering my time at my daughters school to improve their website and start a PTO Moodle, and taking walks around my neighborhood in the evening and stopping to chat with friends along the way. I am very fortunate to have a full and inspiring life, a supportive family, and a constant desire to learn something new everyday.
